the car has to be off the road latest may, so i have till then to get all my bits, we have had a chat and decided the best route is gonna be 20 VT, i want factory management not qpeng, and this is main reason for going 20vt.

I have sopke to a guy from CGTI who makes up looms, he can do my loom as a plug and play using the factory ECU etc, although Ben (benvictors off here) is keen to just do this ourselves

Feel free to come give a hand pal, its deffo happening regardless of what certain forum members think

I have my mate with the S3 (who im not sure how reliable he is as he has let me down once) says i can have all the full running gear, if not im looking for a BAM or even a AGU, but i really want a £££££Bam with a Derv box

im exited and worried all at once but im sure it will come good

I wouldnt put a big search in for a BAM 20VT as they are rare and because of this they are really really expensive... me personally i would get a AGU block and then either a BAM head or a AGU polished and ported head.. If you put a BAM head on a AGU there is no difference just will save a fortune..

AGU is a safe option all round.. fit the k03s or k04 turbo easy.. you have no VVT to worry about.. you have a lot less sensors than the AUM which are prone to go wrong which means less wiring.. and the AGU is a strong engine and i think the early ones had a larger ported head compared to the AUM not 100% on this though..

Sorry if you've spoke about this before i just didnt want to read all 60 odd pages

Also a good choice on engine there bud
