i have mate, but you should know me, do it once do it to perfection 

jokes aside, its difficult to take this car out of use as i use it A LOT and for all my DJ work etc, conversion has to be done quickly, MOT is up in may so thats the latest the car will be off the road (coz it need the new rack to pass anyhow), then it needs to be back on the road ASAP on a urgent basis.

Remap and ill just enjoy it (wanting the factory ECU and loom set up)

Only other mod id like is some porker front breaks, im happy with rest of car and i want to retain its original 1990's looks as much as i can on the basis - less is more

Good luck with the conversion... Do have to carry much gear around?... Cant you get yourself a heap to bomb about in while the golf is off the road?

dont carry hardly owt around mate just my tunes and Mac, but yeah thats a option i had thought of, just dont want an excuse to leave the car off the road for too long,

Be an idea though as its never going to go smoothly and quickly lets be honest.

Not a bad idea to be fair. Loads about dirt cheap.

i picked up a 1.4 for £400 to get me to work and i've managed to make more back on that selling the coilovers and stuff off it means you don't have to rush the conversion that way, first time round i rushed my VR conversion and things was tie-wrapped all over good luck with the conversion!

I'll look forward to seeing the bay when your finished with it then! Yours is pretty immaculate at the moment!
