LZ3N ruby red pearl, apparently according to VW only 300 mk3 golfs are this colour!

LA7U is a dark metallic grey on my mk2 '91 GTi 8v

I've been trying to find the correct name of this colour code as no one seems really sure. Anyway, after much searching and several phone calls I eventually found out that the name is (drum roll please)....

Ascot Pearl Grey

NOT to be confused with Ascot Grey which is LA7A!

Anyway just thought I'd post this on here and hopefully save another poor feckless soul the trouble...

online translators, or most words are not so hard to work out, there are a few, but most can be translated pretty basically.
