Alpine i902d-G6

Good morning all,

I recently got my hands on an alpine i902d-G6 for my mk6 GTi, got a few issues with it, the buttons on the side don't work, also the sound quality is crap. Could it be that because the alpine head unit is one of the best ones that the speakers need upgrading with it?

I've got a set of focal speakers to fit aswell so i'm hoping this will help.

Has anyone else had the same issues?

None of the physical buttons work? That's very weird. In warranty, then just return it.

The Focal will be a good improvement on stock but the head unit would be more than 'crap' with the stock speakers.

Any chance the install of the unit isn't great? Local car audio place you could try?

The touchscreen works fine, I bought it from a guy that's selling a golf R. He showed me a video of it working before I purchased it so it did work, no idea why it in't working now.

I did have a mk7 style apple car play head unit in which the speakers worked fine, but since changing over to the alpine it now sounds terrible.

I would agree with JV on this one, likely poor install.
