hey guys i am interested in buying this vag com thing all you guys talk about however is it easy to use and install and how much is it? because i would like to be able to know what is wrong with my car by myslf lol
any help please?

There are plenty of help on here and guides to using vag com....as for the software I dont know the price

the free version you can bascially just read fault codes if there is a problem with your mk4...
full version you can do auto windows etc.... you need to buy the VAG COM cable.. you can get one off ebay for £13.99... and then just download the software of the ross tech website which is free

at the bottom of your centre console there is a trim peice which you pull off and its behind there... dont yank it off otherwise you will break it ... it will clip of nice n easy
