Lighting Modification

Had this posted in the mk3 section but only got 1 response.. hoping I'd get a better 1 in the right section!
I'd like to know if anyone here knows if it's possible to/how to wire up the original mk3 indicators with some indicators which are built into headlamps.. I'm pretty sure I've seen it done but I have no idea how I'd go about doing it..
Also whats the legality of this? I mean would this pass an MOT or would I need to disconnect 1 pair before it goes in?

the ones you have seen are probably mk4 style headlamps, which have a built in indicator in the headlamp itself. legalitiy wise, i can't see that having two indicators on one side being a bad thing?

The one's I've seen are kinda like the mk4's, but a different layout and smoked, I'll see if i can find a pic on here sometime later..
Will this affect the rate it indicators blink at etc?

If you connect up more than the standard number of bulbs then yes it will, unless you have a solid state relay. They're the same as the one's you use for LED side lights.
