 I have done similar research and came to the same conclusion re wavetrac. Have you looked into cryo treating the gears?

also... Thought of putting in the 1.8 20v na cams in?

not going for the Relentless mani mate due to quality issue and the way it glows red hot

going to go for JBS item, still toying with idea of bigger turbo tho too mate.

wjats the deal with NA 20V cams ?  never heard of this mod

will make a decision on which way to go with engine mods after the LSD is fitted, thought it was best to prep the chassis as much as i can so I'm not loosing any performance...  stuff most people don't bother doing

i just meant in terse of the running gear, switching to MK4 driveshafts too as much thicker

yeah i already have the Drive shafts




also got round to refurbing a set of MK4 rear callipers







had the conversion (MK4 TO MK3) lines made up to match my fronts



Also refurbished a spare AUX belt tensioner too

Angle is fairly flat mate TBH.. never had a issue however the MK3 items that have lived on my car for 19 years have some rust marks now.. and theirs some kind of vibration dampener thing on the drivers side shaft, this had come away and i can feel a vibration

i kept the Mk4 ones from when i converted my dads car to AUQ with 6 speed box

his car has never ever been driven hard, and he bought it brand new.. the Mk4 box I'm using came from his car too

Looks good. What did you use paint wise on the calipers?

Good work mate loving this car even more   Do mk4 driveshafts fit an ABF straight off or do you need there hubs and box also? reason i ask is i have a bit of vibration at the moment and i've replaced nearly everything i can on the front now but only thing i can think is i replaced my driveshafts with my old 8v ones possible this is the answer   cheers

Iv always used Hammerite paint on everything i do on engine parts and brakes.

the brakes are SMOOTH finish black as is the tensoner

i did the rocker cover in SATIN, and the Gearbox thats currently in is SATIN, new box will be the same too
