In other news, iv decided to upgrade my braking to S3 spec due to my 280mm GTI brakes smoking badly every time i brake hard haha

think theirs just a lil buit too much power going through them now.

I have these S3 brakes which ill be refurbing to a High standard. these are the 312mm which just fit under 16" wheels (which is what i have)



Calipers are almost ready




also gathered all the bolts and stuff i need to refresh my new gear box, including all the parts to convert the shift mech to the TT short shift

hope to have the Brake upgrade on soon as possible

Gearbox will more than likely be next month as i need to get my LSD, and then send it away too be fitted, then paint the gearbox housing etc


My 280mm brakes are FOR SALE, good quality Mintex Discs which are not that old, and matching pads, not sure how well the pads have survived tho

anyone who is interested et me know

kells why don't you try the gearbox out first? its a lot of money to be spending to decide you want different ratios!

ratios are exactly the same apart from final drive. which i planned to change to a VR one in mine anyhow so i don't need to

main reason for box rebuild is a LSD, either Wavetrack or quaife

Those ratios won't work well on that engine. Would be good for a mk2/mk3 16v to make it more lively. But not for a high torque turbo motor.
