To be as brief as possible
Car supposedly had a recon gearbox in June 23
Having some minor work being done by my regular spanner handler who says gearbox is leaking oil and that it’s not a recon gearbox. Is it possible to know for certain if a gearbox on a vehicle is the same one it was fitted with at the factory ? Obviously there’s a sizeable difference in the cost of repaired v reconditioned and I’d like to have all the facts to hand before I call them out on it.
