As an indium grey owner, I agree with you 100%.  Silver ones at the time were like rocking horse poo.

If I ever get them re-painted, they will be silver.

Really funny, I’ve got those on mine and always forget they’re there. And the little cubby under the headlight switch

Lifted the car from getting the rear quarter resprayed due to rust setting in and the sill. Blended into the door and bumper. Just going to leave it for a week and then polish and re-ceramic coat the car.
