Different; yes. Different in a good way; no. That’s just my opinion though. And the Storm Grey - almost white - interior? I’m sure that’ll be really practical for everyday use .

I don’t like the wheels either, nor do I like the wheels on the Lime Yellow car that appears in the video, which IMO bear an uncanny resemblance to the wheels on Ford’s current Fiesta ST - I certainly wouldn’t pay the extra £1,000 VW are charging for them.

It seems VW and seat designers have lost the plot with the new models. The Leon from the front looks like the focus and the golf while not too bad in sporty trim looks like an Astra type thing.

I had a mk 7 after hating it at first, but I am going to go against the grain, but I really like this one, I love the white with 19 inch wheels, I am not a fan of the standard 18 inch wheels but I did also say that last time until I got use to the wheels in the mark 7

The mk8 will be one of those cars where colour and wheel size will either make it look really nice or really bad. In white it looks acceptable but that's probably because it's hiding lines etc. It still looks like to different cars from front end to back end.
