Some Mk4 Leon image 'leaked' online;-

I think the current / outgoing Leon looks better and IMO so does the Ibiza.

That’s a real shame. Doesn’t look good at all from that angle. I had the Cupra St down as a possible replacement for mine.

That was my first reaction to the front profile - Ford Focus.

IMO the designers at both VW and Seat haven’t done a great job with the looks of either the Golf or Leon. I think they did a much better job on the Polo and Ibiza - I think the Ibiza in particular is a stylish little car - more so than the Polo. Shame there isn’t currently a performance model in the Ibiza range (only 1.0 litre petrol or 1.6 litre diesel engine options).

Yes totally agree about the Ibiza. I think it's a nice looking supermini.

Having seen spy shots of the new Leon l didn’t bother checking out the unveil on Tuesday but cupranet have a full rundown of the new model on their site now.

https://www.seatcupra.net/index.php/2020/01/28/new-seat-leon-2020-full-details/

Looks wise it’s quite bland by SEAT standards and almost identical to the i30 or Focus in so many areas.

SEAT easymove: Six trim levels – SE, SE Dynamic, FR, FR Sport, Xcellence, Xcellence Lux – each with its own unique equipment, customers only need to choose their trim, engine and colour

In other words, there are no options, only trim levels.

I noticed ACC is only on the Xcellence/Xcellence Lux, which means it can't be sporty looking and useful.

Fail.
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro
Gone: 2014 Mk7 GTD, manual, NavPro, DCC

I actually quite like the idea of trim levels as opposed to a ton of options. Easier to manage with a lower volume less prestigious brand like SEAT and probably similar to other marques such as Hyundai etc? (I’ve never looked at a Hyundai spec sheet so am purely guessing)
A much cleaner way of buying your vehicle as it removes that issue of getting any money back on expensive extras and all that inevitable nonsense.
I’m sure the Golf will be marketed differently but SEAT already seem to do this spec level marketing.
Less of an issue on the Cupra models that’ll have most options as standard unless they do versions like VW  do with the Polo GTI with zilch spec (lease spec only) or GTI + that’s fairly loaded.

I never use ACC anyway as I rarely drive the right sort of roads but my son uses cruise control on his Ibiza all the time due to a lot of motorway and dual carriageway driving.
If it was an option I’d bin it.

It’s been like that for some time with Seat; I think the pano roof might still be an option though. Other than that, the only thing you choose is the colour.

I think it’s also the same with the Golf GTI in the USA (and presumably other VW models too); four trim levels, with factory options restricted to colour choice and manual / DSG transmission.
