I had a MK 7 Golf R for 6 years until a lorry pulled out in front of me on the A90 causing an accident in October 2022 and the car was written off. I was waiting for the MK 8 to arrive but drove it and didn't like the fact that the steering wheel had haptic buttons so i never bought one.
My current car is a 2023 Honda Civic Type R but i will be trading that in for the new MK 8.5 Golf R when it comes out.
I live in Aberdeenshire but work in Saudi Arabia so i don't do many miles. I think i have done 4300 in the Civic since i got it in March last year.
