^^ Nice purchase.

Thanks.

Currently (slowly) turning a hobby into a potential business. Went on the Slim's 3 day course in August which was fantastic and is the only course with a recognised qualification at the end.

Lots to learn and much practice needed though...

Stunning job on the SL  Shame you aren't closer as otherwise I'd let you practice on mine

I'm seriously considering buying a DA quite soon due to my wife pranging her car slightly and me just wanting one
Any recommendations for a machine and accessories costing a max of about £250 ?

I've got my eye on one of these: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/das-6-pro-meguiars-microfiber-system/prod_963.html

Seems to be a good combination of spec v price. Hoping there'll be a good deal to be had at the same time as my pocket has some capacity

I'm very much a middle of the road, not quite reaching the dizzying heights of a "plus" model sort of person

I have the Pro Plus, which has a 15mm throw, which means faster results with less effort in less time basically.  It’s a great machine and I’m currently using it with the Meguiars MF DA System although often use alternative polishes and pads too.

Anyone considering getting the Pro Plus be fully aware that it does not take spot pads, only 5” and 6” pads as it’s restricted to those size backing plates due to the figment. 5” pads are preferable imo as give you more control, but the reality is, whilst you can cover a lot of a Golf with it, there are a fair few areas that really need spot pads which is why I’ve just added to my DA family with a Rupes Mini Bigfoot just for spot work.
