Base model courtesy car has in dash maps!

Just dropped my CS in to have a new steering wheel, hopefully it cure the endless bongs. The courtesy car is a fairly standard 70 plate, running 1668 software, and has the in dash maps. Does this mean all 1668 software cars have it? Can’t believe mine doesn’t have it. Yes I know you can activate via the app thing, but If it can be done via the dealer…

Interesting.

I wrote a post about this a few months ago. My friend got a GTE and when it arrived it had in dash maps, in then had a software update and the functionality was disabled.

What do you mean regarding activating it with the app?

It might have had navpro... If it does then its enabled.

How would I be able to tell if it has nav pro? It’s a pretty basic car, so I’d be surprised.

Its navpro if its using 16xx software and has maps on the dash  :grin: :grin: :grin:

The early Mk8's (so non performance) all came with "free" navpro.

Yeah, early performance mk8's have voice control and gesture control.... newer ones don't unless you pay to unlock it from the vw shop...

Ahh yes, I have that. I’ll have to see what else is available in the shop. Although I guess that can all be done by purchasing the OBD thing?
