Erm... sounds like they fail to understand concepts like time and space. Have you tried to explain to them?

I know a couple of people who used to do a similar thing, saved them time and money.
Why not just walk the mile to work?
This sounds like this thread belongs on the old peoples home forum for park and ride it started as a GTi spotting and ended up as park and ride merits !!!
