Trying to lower my MK2 gti on some lowering springs ive just brought! but cant get the shock apart
in the haynes manual it says you need a peg spanner! does any one know any other way around this? or does anyone have a peg spanner i could borrow/know where i can buy one?? Help would be greatly appreciated!

I think what you are talking about is the slotted nut that holds all the strut together. You can buy the tools (McPherson strut tools) in halfords. Don't forget to use spring compressors!
