Come to Wales and I'll race you Steve

Sounds like a challenge there Rhyso, when you in London next? So have you got an A3 tdi 170?

I avoid London at all costs mate; can't stand the place  :lipsrsealed:  Normally make it to a few shows.  Perhaps we should meet up at Santa Pod and take it down the strip

Nah only 2wd.  Test drove the Quattro (Haldex really, same as the Golf) but didn't really see the point in lugging around another 100kg for that 1 in 100 time I'd need the full benefit of the system.  That and the boot space is smaller.  Plus they were more expensive to buy, tax insure, run etc etc

I remember the sales woman telling me 'you should have come yesterday when it was raining, you would have felt the full benefit of the system.'  My reply - 'if I need 4wd to drive in the rain, I shouldn't be allowed to drive'

And no it isn't mapped

To buy brand new or which one is quicker?

I already made my choice when I bought mine   As for which one is quicker, in the real world I doubt there'd be anything in it.  It would come down to how you tested their speed and the driver behind the wheel.

Fundamentally they are the same car underneath but setup to cater for different markets which is what Snoopy pointed out earlier

Audi but if you're looking to buy brand new then hold off as a new A3 is due within the next 12 months
