Title: Overheating
Post by: nthor on 21 February 2019, 21:31
Hi All,
The wife has a 2.0 GTD 2015, yesterday when driving the water temp went from the normal 90c to 120c and the message came up on the dash stop car or something like that.  We let the car cool for a few mins as we were close to home and finished the trip, today all was fine until just now when the temp started to rise again from the 90c to about 120c but went back to 90c very quickly and then was fine for the rest of the trip which was about 5 miles.  Any ideas where to start?

Thanks in advance Nigel

Have you checked the coolant level?

Probably a sensor issue if it is fluctuating, get it scanned to check.
