Had a couple of questions about the defogged lights so if it helps
I took them out of the grill then poured in loads of flash, I wound up a cloth like a rope and poked it through the hole and spun it around watching where it wiped, it didnt take long to clean them all, then i thoroughly dried them out on a radiator before re fitting, if you go to the mk2 forum and ask on there they have a thread about splitting the lens from the frame, good luck

No the car was bought standard with no extras and went to a bloke with several other cars I beleive, it then did only low miles until the late 90's....

thanks all for your kind words, had a mad moment and took a sponge and soapy water to the underside. think it will clean up very shiney white... can I be assed to do it though

Amazing condition for it's age.

88 Digifant, small bumper.....sorry big bumpers were not the first, you can just see the hazard switch on the dash in the phot...

84-some very early 85 models had the same as the mk1 (vinyl stripes)
85-87 had the same as i posted
87-late 89 had the thick plastic like the OP's

Bit of a result with the heat gun, fed up with forever blacking over white/grey bits so spent the money bought myself a heat gun and after half an hour cleaning of all the lotions and balms rubbed in over the years this is the result, completely untreated and in the buff
