Landrover 90- new engine time!
« on: 26 May 2012, 11:36 »
well thought i would start a thread for my new toy as it may interest some, was an impulse buy as it came up for sale a few doors down and was pretty cheap.

Landrover 90 2.5 TD

runs and drives great but needs work on the rear crossmember and a small patch in the batter tray.

possible 200tdi conversion may occur at some point

quick snap

My boss has put a 4.6 V8 in his with Edelbroch carb's and manifolds, goes like a rocket and sounds feckin awesome!
These things are so easy to Mod with loads of room for upgrades either under the bonnet or underneath.

I would love a Landy they are super cool

The 3.5 that came out got about 10/15mpg, the 4.6 gets 15+
He is going to put the EFI on from the Rangey that donated the engine, so should see a few more mpg's

The paint is way past saving trust me!

Along with the rear cross member, probably one or two of the outriggers, the engine before too long and almost inevitably the sh*tty LT77 gearbox.

Will not end well, or cheaply.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Chassis is surprisingly solid. The engines are cheap to fix, don't fancy breaking the box though. Give it a couple if months and it will put jap crap to shame ;)
