could this be true....

"I was born and brought up in Speyside and I'm still a regular visitor to that area. I don't claim to be an expert but I would say I've heard of every malt whisky in Scotland. I certainly have NOT heard of Glenbridge or Glen Marnoch - they sound like made up names to me! - What a World!, Essex, 21/11/2011 22:19 ------- The average Aldi customer wouldn' tbe able to tell the difference between a 40 year old malt and a blend."

Funny this, my uncle was a distiller in Speyside and my family still live up there. I was up there a few weeks ago doing the Whisky trail and I have never heard of this Whisky either. Google only seems to return results for this deal too!  :lipsrsealed:

Just because it's 40 years old, doesn't automaticaly make it it good whisky does it?
A good single malt does hit the spot, but I doubt this is one.

PR stunt.

Try this.

Very true But even the chance of a 40 yr old malt at 50 quid is worth it man lol  .... As for the name its a possible spinoff of another major distillery not sure will let you know how it tastes i love a single malt especially a 21 yr old Macallam

Blue label is a very nice drink, and i have been through a couple of bottles. I think for me (despite being blended) Chivas Brothers Royal Salute just pips it.

Beautiful drink!! My dad purchased a bottle 34yrs ago when my brother was born and kept it until my brother has his first kid. Even then I was only allowed 2 small test drinks  :undecided: (comes in a very rare white porcelin flask).. worth a try if you can get some!!

Chivas is nice. Was up at the distillery a few weeks ago sampling the goods

Gotta be a Speyside for me every time. Love a Macallan.

If you can find one try looking for a Linkwood - I might be biased on this though as this is what my Uncle used to distill.
