Testing the fuel pumps advice
« on: 06 October 2004, 12:49 »
Hi all, I have a problem with one of the fuel pumps, it keeps shorting the system when i turn on the ignition. so apart from disconnecting each one and seeing which one is at fault, how do i test the pump it self? is it serviceable?

Thanks for any help

Chances are it'll be the main pump. Check the current draw. There is a procedure for it in the Haynes manual.
