Help!

My biting point on my mk2 2.0 16v (9a) is to high. This doesnt sound like much of a problem but its damn annoying.

I took it to one place but he said cant do nothing about it???? Is this true or can i adjust it to make it lower?

Its a fairly new clutch aswell.

Is it an auto adjusting cable or manual adjustment? With manual adjustment you should be able to put some slack in the cable to make it bite lower.
If its the auto adjusting type resetting it may help :-\

Its a manual adjustment one, i did try once but to no avail. I was thinking, could it be something else? Or just needs a proper adjustment.

I think it probably just needs adjustment. You should have around an inch of pedal movement (free play) before the cable actually operates the clutch.
Thats the case for the 8V anyway, fairly certain this will be similar. Try slackening it off until it moves down to where you want it.
