Hi all

Heres my mk3 project which i paid £700 for in july 2012.
After a good wash and clean up...

Few things i remember were the dog hair which was inbedded into the carpets and the tacky rear lights.

I had a red 8v exactly the same model and yr but it got hit with the big hail storm we had in leicestershire. So i went and got this.Black is much better colour i think.

I took the front gti splitter of my red golf and onto the black.
Then ive swapped seats so i had all my seats intact and in good condition with no rips.
After that ive sold my red golf to a work mate for cheap hoping to buy it back cheap for parts when hes done with it and i never here from him tut tut.

Next stage was to sort the sort the rear lights,so i bought some from germany

to be continued

That brings to something else, most of the work on my car has been done by myself and im no mechanic.my current trade is as a soft drinks enigneer.it all helps.where theres a will theres a way i suppose.anything can be fixed if u want too.
I have chucked every penny into what i do with my car,its my hobby, passion, and life style.
I actually thought about selling it a few weeks back but couldnt bring myself to do it.lmao

Heated seats have been connected and seem to be working ok.Its a very kool luxury.happy man!

Gave her a good wash with my new MEGUIARS NXT GEN car shampoo.i was on AUTOGLYM shampoo/con but thought i would try this as with AG shampoo/con it leaves a film which is ok if u want to just wash the car but if u want to apply polish then i beleive this could vaildate the performance of the polish/wax.
The MEGUIARS NXT GEN was is really impressive.it foamed up a lot.

in the pipelines....

Air ride is something id love to have but it costs sooo much

1.8t engine coversion has been in the clouds for a few years now

Gona get some couple more rust patches sorted this summer along with new discs and pads front and back.whilst the calipers are off im going too clean them up and respray them, probly silver or grey mayb black...not decided yet.

more updates soon
