I'm just struggling to see the benefit of fitting (presumably) four-point harnesses. Because they're better than the OEM 3 point inertia belts. I'm happy to admit that 5 or 6 point will be better again but 4 point correctly fitted are perfectly servicable in a car used for trackdays.

Why not use the seatbelts that are fitted OEM? Because with the bucket they are not very good at keeping you pinned in the seat in the twisties.

Unless you're going for a 5/6 point harness, of course. See above

Black seats are faster - you just can't see them being faster cos they are stealth, innit. Ahh good point, perhaps "Track camo" seats could be made for those extra few tenths

Well it's currently doing a pretty good impression of an iceberg.

Well it's still not moved since Decembers No-Rice but I've got an old GTI drivers seat that I can now butcher to make a subframe for the bucket and Mrs Horney is buying me an Oil Pressure Gauge for my birthday.

I've also booked myself on a Trackday at Castle Combe on 25th June.

Just ordered a DIN gauge pod for the oil pressure gauge. Takes 3 gauges so will also get myself an ammeter guage and one other but don't know what.

Good idea as the MFA isn't the easiest thing to read!

EGT? Exhaust pressure? Fuel pressure?

I think you'll need another 3 pod DIN

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Big Update!

When theis car was built back in the day it had the VSAM Pro engine management fitted to it which in a nut shell is an ECU that controls the timing and also controls and extra (Digifant style) injector which is mounted in the metering head. THis allows you to fine tune the K-Jet system for engines in a higher state of tune.

THis is all good stuff except VSAM Pro is very much an antique in the aftermarket ECU world and as it pretty much pre dates the internet information is scant to say the least. However I after much searching I found a chap in Oz who used to libve here and ran it on a KR powered Corrado. THis guy is a legend, he's managed to find a copy of the software for mapping it and is sorting me with a wiring diagram to make up the cable. I just need to pick up a cheap old lappy that has a serial port and Windows 95 or 98 and I'm away!

Third one should be a mixture gauge, running off a lambda.

That way you can see when the K-Sh*t is running lean in preparation to detonate your engine.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
