if it was loose it was probably a bit out so you might find more power after you have corrected it  :afro:

I was thinking the same thing actually. Always look on the bright side eh.

In other good news the oil leak seems to be fixed with the new gasket as well.

Well I can't get it to run right so it looks like I'll be pulling out of silverstone. I marked up TDC and set the strobe to 6deg BTDC and before I can even get the marks to line up it runs rough as a badgers arse to the point of nearly stalling no matter how high I wind the idle up.

New pads now fitted and ready to bed in this arvo/tomorrow on the way to the circuit!

Mark's kindly offered to come over today and see if we can sort the damn timing out.

Mark is a legend, it's running just about spot on, certainly well enough for tomorrow.

Yeah I know, I probably overly worry as well. Hopefully tomorrow will stay mostly dry. Update and pics tomorrow evening!

Silverstone today was epic! Murdered one of my cut slicks so now it's just a slick and nailed £70 of fuel out of the exhaust.

Still it's all good. The car was wicked and passed several Elises, a couple of porkers, a clio 1.8 16v with cams and a BMW ZM. Awesome fun!
