iv a golf mk4 tdi 51 plate, the problem is it revs ok but when you drive it the turbo dont seem to kick in, You can here the whistle of the turbo when you rev it, any ideas because its doing my head in now, run vag com showed maf intermitant, cleared faults drive it around, no faults found
thats fooked it

Start the car.
Unplug the MAF the car revs should drop.
Turn the car off.
Go for a drive, if it feels 100% better then chances are you MAF is knackered, and get a genuine one (you'll pay more but you can go through 2/3 non genuine ones in a year) Also if yours isnt genuine VW will hit you for about a £50 surcharge!
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

started car, unpluged maf made no differance revs stopped the same??
thats fooked it
