Fitted some replica 18 inch Queenstown alloys to replace the Richmonds.
Vast improvement

They look good.

Sets of alloys from CMWheels are good value and at the lower end of the price spectrum, so I’d be interested to hear how their diamond cut alloys hold up against the dreaded white worm corrosion over time. It’s not unknown for VW’s own OEM diamond cut alloys - which are significantly more expensive (overpriced?) - to succumb to white worm after 2-3 years if they’re on a car that’s used as a daily driver all year round.

Very nice and it didn’t take long for CM Wheels to get Queenstowns out!
Do the original VW centre caps fit ok?
Did you keep the 225 tyres?
What is the bare wheel weight of a Queenstown?

Mine are not from CM Wheels, but they were roughly the same price from another vendor, so I imagine they will be the same wheels.
The centre bore is the same as the Richmonds, so no spiggot rings required and the original bolts fit as well.

The original centre caps did not fit, but my wheels came with a new set along with VW stickers (although it was the old style font), but you have to be really geeky to notice it. Also the original black plastic covers for the wheel bolts did not fit, but I bought a new set for a fiver from Amazon. So all in all I'm quite pleased with the way they've turned out.

As for the weight, I did not weigh them, but they definetely felt lighter than the Richmonds when I was taking them in and out of boxes.

And yes, I reused they 225 tyres.

Time will tell how they stand up to daily use.
