Well after been on here for 5 years or so and actually owning this particular mk3 since November 2010 i guessing it was about time I actually proved I wasn't an adolescent Corsa driving felch monkey...it also helped that the car was reasonably un-scummy seeing as I was forced to hose it down after experiencing a full on seagull assault whilst in Folkestone days earlier.  :sick:

Since I've owned it I've fitted, modified or repaired the following:

Outside
BBS RX 16x7j wheels with 205/45/16 Goodyear eagle F1 tyres all round.
Eibach Sportline 40mm lowering springs & Weitec Ultra GT shortened struts
Proper Hunter 4 wheel alignment @ Elite in Essex
Steering rack gaitors and ball joints
new top mounts and bump stops all round
New Pagid discs & pads all round with fluid change
Both rear wheel bearings
Sebring twin oval rear box and modified VW centre box
Smooth look rear wiper
GTI badges removed all round
Black VW badges front and rear
Genuine VW tinted Anniversary foglights, indicators and blanking covers
Aero front wipers
removed GTI arch trims and side rubbing strips / fitted CL side strips
Tinted top GTI rear light clusters
Headlights were tinted by are not back to standard due to a jobsworth MOT tester.
Uprated headlight loom.
headlight leveling system.
removed tow bar
de-locked handle fitted on passenger side
Hofele lower bumper vents
New metal side skirt strips
Blaupunkt DAB / FM amplified aerial base with stubby Polo mast.

to fit: Colour coded smooth topped bumpers (without towbar hole) although some paint work is required first


Inside
Full black heated leather VR6 Highline interior (fully working)
Lupo steering wheel
mk4 Golf gearknob
B&M short shifter gearstick
leather gear gaiter
US spec rear center console with pop out cup holder, boot release button & flip top lid. Obtaining a complete one of these in good condition was a piss take! Most for sale have the bracket missing of the handbrake gaitor is fubered.
mk3.5 handbrake lever with chrome button.
mk3.5 centre console rubber mat
US spec rubber door pocket liners cut to fit inside my Highline door cards.
mk4 Golf puddle lights
US spec central locking switch in dash
16v Anniversary clocks with correct mileage (extra lights fitted in upper section for broader illumination)
Lower glovebox to suit air-con gubbins.
mk4 Golf centre sun visor
Both main sunvisors changed for ones with illuminated vanity mirrors with oem loom
Custom fit floor mats all round
Chrome interior door handles
3rd rear brake light
Blaupunkt DAB35 headunit & 4xJBL component speakers (JBL tweeters bonded into old dash tweeter baskets)
Custom fit passenger side boot sub box with 12'' Pioneer subwoofer (This is currently removed awaiting modification for new Infinity 10'' sub so i can reduce the box size slightly to accommodate the buggy)



Engine bay

Was clean last year...
Chipped ECU
Heavily modified airbox with K&N air filter and cold air intake fitted
Throttle body mildly smoothed out
carbon canister rubbish removed
New vacuum hoses
Cambelt, tensioner and both auxiliary belts
Water pump, thermostat and housing, coolant flush
Spark plugs, ignition leads
Several oil changes
new sump pan
dipstick and holder
2 batteries
Crank speed sensor
radiator and temp switch
A/C condenser, drier, seals and re-gassed
Boot struts fitted to bonnet and original stay removed

To fit:  brand new lightened and balanced flywheel (7kg) to be fitted once funds permit the purchase of a new Sachs clutch kit.



No doubt there's sh!t loads of stuff I've forgotten as we all know these things are never ending... :whistle:

Looks great, love the lupo bits, been contemplating them for mine....

And if  you ever decide to sell that US centre console get in touch  :shocked:

Cheers, I think they freshen up the standard bland interior a bit.

Nice spec thai,how come you only took the fly down to 7 as most go to about 5/6 with no probs,ive just purchased one to send to hotgolf and will be taking it to around 5

Well originally my plan was to buy a spare flywheel and get Hotgolf on the case but I managed to get a brand new and boxed lightened and balanced flywheel with a warranty for about the same cost so thought sod it and saved myself some faffing about plus the fact the missus very occasionally uses the car with the nipper in and didn't want to make the car too difficult for her to drive...her little brain struggles as it is!

Oh and the car looks sweet mate,ive been looking at mk3's again lol
theres a vr local to me and looks just how i wanted my old one to look and its mystic blue again ,decisions decisions lol
