Your mate's a lucky bugger! Should clean up nice with only 72000 On the clock :)

yeah I know!!

had a weird whining sound coming from the engine the other day.. found out the cambelt was loose! bought a new tensioner and belt, but they sent the wrong tensioner so I fitted the old one (seemed ok), all put back together and it runs fine again. another weird noise that was there before has gone too.. must be something to do with taking all the belts off and putting them on again..

pleased with how easy it was to change the cambelt, I'd never done it before and thought it was a major job but doing it is so much easier than the thought beforehand!

somehow the pipe that goes to the power steering pump got knocked out.. doesn't look like anything particular holds it in! weird.. but now I've no fluid and she steers like an old tractor now! need to top up fluid.. I don't suppose it's doing any harm driving it without any for the moment tho?

welded up some holes in the exhaust this week and fitted a strut brace I made.. stripped her right out now, surprising how much difference it makes
