no it is leaking from the rear crank seal (the fiesta is too funnily enough) wont be doing it unless it's losing a lot of oil cos the engine will never get done otherwise

doh took a run out in the turbo today and the fecking thing broke down  managed to get it restarted but wouldnt rev above a 1000rpm without cutting out   so on the hard shoulder of the dual carriage way i was trying various things and thought mmm wonder if it's the maf so unplugged it and low and behold it would rev fine, so plugged it back in and it wouldnt rev again so thought yippe just a maf fault, however not that it matters much but the asr warning light is now on and has stayed on,

so yesterday the fun began

here's the team

Dai - Chief Fitter

Bob - Sparky

Me - Interior Removal

Removed the bonnet, doors and boot hatch and rear seats and then rolled the car into the garage

First couple of hours went really well - engine stripping started approx 3pm and by 5.30pm is was pretty much ready to come out and then of course the problems started.....................

Driver side drive shaft didn't want to come off
Then the bolts holding the turbo to the exhaust were on proper tight
Then there was issues with the jack..........

But by 9.30pm, after stopping for several cups of tea and sauasge and chips and trying to keep warm as from 6pm onwards we were working in sub-zero temperatures out came the engine!!

Engine out!

More fun continues on Monday with the removal of the 2.0 engine but i'm back in work so its down to Dave and Bob to get it sorted
