OBD, VAGCOM, Fault Codes. What they mean and probable causes.

hiya i have a set of S3seats which i want to fit to my 03 plate bora tdi as well as momo steering wheel can i turn the airbag light off and de activate the air bag light completely ive just bought the vagcom rosstech so any help would be great before i start thanks terry

01271 – Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68) – static – Faulty
00849 – S-contact at ignition Starter Switch (D) – static – Undefined switch condition

I've got known issues with my cooling fans not coming on, the previous owner has wired them to be on permanently. If I remove the "fix" will this clear up this fault and show up what's really stopping the fans from kicking in?

Second fault I'm clueless and need a starting point or possible, cheap solution.

Sure that the first fault code is radiator?
Sounds like motor for aircon flap rather than radiator.

S-contact is likely the ignition switch
