Other than the usual stuff (water pumps, shocks, brakes, clutch, flywheel etc) the one thing that I'd be worried about is the turbo.
Blown turbos are not that rare as they get on and replacing it can be quite pricey and even more so if the blow up chucks parts into the engine in the process...
And thats not just Mk7 golfs, thats anything with a turbo (petrol or diesel) as time and mileage mount up...
