Oh dear I'm spending more money again!
£3K is arriving shorlty which is already earmarked for a new kitchen

Fitting a kitchen in your car is not going to make it faster and will be dangerous if you have stuff on the stove whilst cornering.

Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Blimey, pretty much makes me think I'll stick to UK trackdays then.

Funny you should say that. Was showing my Dad the video of the Reeves MKI going round Spa on sunday. "We NEED to go there" was all I could get out of him for about 10 mins

I see you're both wearing little girl's underwear today then.

The 'ring's not for everyone.  Especially not laydees.  It's a Man trackday, like McCoy's crisps and Yorkie bars.

Why else would the must-visit restaurant be a steak-house?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to drive the ring and I always appreciate a good steak (blue, proper man's steak). But can I justify building my car to that level for something I may do a couple of times? Maybe.

The thing is I know full well that if I drive the ring I'll get the fever. Right now I'm blissfully unaware of what I'm missing out on and hugely enjoy doing UK trackdays, hell I'm snobish enough about those to not want to do an airfeild day. Somehow I feel staying blissfully unaware of what I'm missing will be best for both my wallet and my marriage.

Spa is awesome, and for enjoyment factor I prefer it over the ring. Saying that I'm off to the ring on the 21st May, before that I'm at Sliverstone on the 25th March and Spa at the beginning of May. Roll on Summer.

its the fact its a long way to go to be told you can't go on is what puts me off. i'm not paying someone else 2k+ for the cage design i want when i can do it for under £500 just for the sake of a certificate. My seat and harness are out of fia date as well.

going to the ring is starting to look like a lot of money.

an idea could be to go over to spa for a day, nurburgring the day after and if the car's not let on go in the ring taxi or try and blag some pax laps

this trip would have to involve a round of the berg cup obviously

Plenty of hire cars available at the 'ring so a girl like you can try it on for size.
