I like the DSG very well.  I still grab for the gearstick sometimes though, and sometimes the whole shebang does a sort of double-take because it can't anticipate what I'm about to do.  The answer to that last is to use the paddles of course, but you have to think about that and you may not be thinking about it at that moment.

I genuinely like it, but I can also see why some people don't and I can't see any reason for having an argument about it.  I suspect it's true that the DSG is the future, but it's likely to be a generational thing, with younger drivers attracted to the technology, getting used to it from the start (it does need a slightly different style of driving), and then not knowing that there might be things the manual does better - or at least differently.

I think there will be a market for both systems for the foreseeable future.

In all these replies I have about 2 valuations.............. the rest of you start arguing over DSG & manual......AGAIN!!!!!  :laugh:  :rolleyes:

Gotta agree though manual is better  :shocked:
