Viewing a A4 97 1.8 20v se estate. Help

How much am I looking at for Cambelt change? Or is it easy job to do at home?
Any known faults?

Check the front suspension control arms, they corode and and the bushes fail.

Common MOT fail, but not too bad a job.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

cambelt is easy




if you take the whole front end off!! a mechanic will charge £300-400ish (inc the belt and water pump)

The easiest way is to strip the front completely, radiator out and all, just move the aircon radiator out of the way without disconnecting it and you should have enough access..
Might take at most 3-5 hours depending if you know how it all comes apart.

Cheers guys but its steering rack is leaking bad so not buying it.

He played dumb and said he didn't know, then he starting telling me hes into drifting and always working on cars  :huh:

He knows its a big job and that's why he's selling it.
