Hi Everyone.
Would really appreciate some advice re a problem on my Mk3.
I bought this one from a guy who had stored it for nearly 10 years in the hope it would appreciate in value.
It didn't as he let me have it for a few hundred. It's a 95 with 95k on it and is in amazing condition.
I've done brakes, fuel pump, coil pack and various other bits and it runs really well.
Was just looking forward to a summer of tootling around with the windows closed to make people think i have air conditioning when an oil leak struck.
Simple!
Distributor "0" ring. 15 minute job!
4 weeks later and I have tried everywhere to get this seal and no joy anywhere.
Even tried VW and they say none in country as not been made for years!
Don't really want to buy a new distributor just for this part (according to VW, only 2 of them in the country) so wondered if anyone might know of where I could get hold of this?

Try Barnwell or Simply Bearings for a replacement seal of the same size/spec etc.
