Title: heres one for you!
Post by: missmouse on 07 June 2019, 11:18
Weird one this - yesterday I lowered a rear window to let my dog have air. After a few mins I tried to raise it again which it did but then returned to half way open! I tried several times but always it went fully up & then back to halfway!
I finally got it to stay closed by leaving the car & using the key fob to rais it fully!
Ive not tried again using the switches!
 Any ideas anyone? :undecided:

I think the windows on the mk6 Golf have an ‘anti trap, anti pinch’ mechanism, so if an obstruction is detected when the window is being closed, it will go into reverse and lower again. You might have some dirt in the channel in window rubber that the glass slides up and down in that could be causing this. Try cleaning the window rubber channel and see it cures the issue.

You can reset the windows with either holding buttons down for 30 seconds or up for 30 I'm not sure what sequence the mk6 uses
