Back in a VW
« on: 28 July 2012, 17:43 »
How do i am a returning member from Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

I used to own a Jazz Blue mk4 Golf 1.8 T but have been driving an EP3 Civic Type R for the past 12 months

I must say i miss the CTR but i fancied a change and another Mk4 was my 1st option.

Its a T reg AUQ engine i think, R32 front bumper, R Line rear, side skirts, 3" exhaust system, decat, brembo from brake setup, suspension mods etc.. been told around 215bhp .. feels sluggish but i think im still used to the civic, gonna get it on the dyno.

There are a few issues with it (as expected lol)

Paintwork, Curbed alloys, starter motor, speedo/mileage stopped working, few other cosmetic bits, gearbox crunching in reverse and stiff selecting gears knocking noise accelerating in 1st, tracking out...

Also disappointed with the engine bay, ugliest part of the car, not looked after at all

ahhhh its good to be back

 Welcome to the nut house!

Looks tidy that, the wheels really suit the car, got anymore pics? It looks like you or the previous owner has done a wing mirror conversion also...

From that one pic, it looks like a tasty motor and I have to say the wheels really do seem to go with the lines of the MK4.  Nice car mate.

The EP3 was the last of the proper Type R's really.  The FN2 is far too tame.

Welcome... nice looking car, surpised it feels sluggish with that power, I suppose it's worth checking, what was the civic pushing out.

 Welcome to the nut house!

It's not a nut house really is it?
