got my first trackday on tuesday at oulton park anyone got any good tips

Go out with a instructor if possible and take your time. Don't get flusterd by faster cars coming up behind you and always signal to the side of the track which you are going to. Most tracks have rules on what side to let faster cars past anyway. Don't beast your car for the entire session, slow down for a couple of laps to let the brakes and engine cool a little, don't put your handbrake on in the pits, just leave it in gear to avoid warping your rear discs.

Keep a watchful eye for your tyre pressures building up too, escpecially if its a warm day. Reset them just before you go out for your next session if required. You'll get a feel for when they are going off.

Check for fluid leaks , anythin loose , in an outside the car , plenty of meat on the pads and tread on the tyres , same old same old

 an have loads of fun
