Hi there guys... any help would be good.... My girlfriends mum has a 2000 W reg golf 1.6 cabriolet (mk4 front end but moslty mk3 bits)...

When she turns the key to unlock it.. the windows go down... sometimes wont go back up for ages!

and i think now she has to get the passenger side cos her locks staying down...

basically the cars electrics are messing up with the central locking....

any help?

try lubricating the lock barrel and freeing it off 1st .it should spring back when you let go off the key.

mk3 golf 1.8t ,280mm front brakes rear disc conversion,coillies.

i'd post this in the mk3 section too mate, pretty sure its mostly mk3 electrics on these

it is all mk3 electrics lol
