not too far mate beckenham.. wouldnt know where to start tbh. do all my oil changes myself and thats about my limit lol

Nope not the belt. Done several and one so far has stripped. Pretty common thing unfortunately.  Plenty of lads on UKMKIVs woth same problem. ;) Very similar to Audi and Passat upper arm bolts seizing,  again aluminium woth steel bolts.

Ah shame it's just a tad too far really.  Could have sorted something!
