I would think they have sealing washers, if so replace them as a 1st step.
is it a VW part ? easy to do ?

Yes Vw should sell them, easy enough to change but messy.

Item 6 (N0138494) and Item 7 (N0138486), look to be what you need, might even be worth replacing the bolts as well if not expensive.

TBH I would have thought that should sort it.
Or just clean it up and watch how long it takes to recollect?

This may seem obvious but did try tweaking the banjo's when you were under the car - I have been (Mike at Stafford VW Spares Dept) told that the unions at the pump end can give similar problems.
Niel Birkett had similar probs.

been to VW this morning and pic up a replacement banjo, hope it fits  :grin:



seriously going to have i look at sorting it Monday tighting it clean it up see how it goes then replace if needs be  :sad:, got a wedding to go to and stuff to sort so cant sort it today or tomorrow
