Clubsport holds it own in many ways i think. It can't match the outright pace and aggressive launch of the M3 or the drama from the eventuri intake or the sound of the straight 6. But the clubsport is equally if not more fun on the B road twisties, the steering and front diff on the clubsport is brilliant. Also gets to the limit quicker at a slower speed so more fun can be had at a 'safer' more license friendly speed. So overall really happy with how the clubsport stands up. And I absolutely love the look too.

The wife's motor. She was gutted when we sold her mk3 focus RS and swapped to a family friendly Tiguan R Line 245ps. A35 is a very nice car, but i only drive it to the petrol station and back! Lovely interior

A Focus RS is always going to be a hard act to follow. As will the M3 be when it eventually goes I’d wager.
I have a soft spot for the A35 and as you say, the interior is lovely.
Talking of petrol stations, it’ll be interesting to see how the Clubsport and A35 compare on MPG over a period of time bearing in mind the closeness in size and power outputs.

I have a soft spot for the CLA 35 AMG, which is basically an A35 in a different frock?
I haven't driven one but it is a real stunner up close in showroom condition.

Original VW Scottsdale alloys, totally change the look of the car, to how a Clubsport should look in my opinion 😎

Much better! I hate those swastika wheels.

I spent money on specing adelaides for that reason. Something I'd never normally waste money on but swastikas

Definitely better than the factory Richmond alloys IMHO.

The red pinstripe around the rim might not appeal to everyone, but I quite like it. The only real downsides of the Scottsdale alloys compared to the Richmonds is they’ll take longer to clean because of the multispoke design, and being 19”, tyres will be more costly but that’s a small price to pay IMHO. The big plus for me would be the Scottsdales aren’t diamond cut, so no risk of white worm corrosion .
