Just watched a video on YouTube about the gti cold start after wltp.. I’m assuming nothing has changed mechanically just emissions adjusted right?

The cars are now fitted with a GPF to reduce emissions

I hope this doesn't affect the exhaust note. They are quiet anyway, and I hope they don't bring the same issues as DPFs have seen.

Shame.. that has just put me off ordering a new Golf

Nearly all petrols will have gpf's from other manufacturers too.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Shouldn’t have the problems a DPF does, I believe there is no need for regen as petrol engines get much hotter a lot quicker than diesels!

Dealer told me today my car arriving there on Wed at the latest. Should be driving away Friday or earlier :smiley: :smiley:

Just been to have a look at mine, looks amazing and sitting in it made me realise the 6 months I have waited will be worth it once I can drive it away. It had a reg plate and everything on it but Dealers still saying they’re waiting for a code to come through. Only annoying bit is the brake discs are already starting to go a rusty colour
