R32: I never knew they had a 5 door one.

I saw a lovely R32 at my local VW dealer tonight and it looked awesome, I never knew it was available in 5 doors.
It was the lovely metallic blue and had the black interior, it was sold so some lucky swine is gonna have fun in that.

Do you rate them ?

Looks the business, but a bit expensive for a golf. If i had that sort of cash i would have to be looking at an Audi.

I currently drive a modified TT Roadster (275BHP) and can honestly say that even with Koni shocks & H&R springs, handling doesn't even come close to the R32. Loads more feedback from the chassis and if you've got ?850, the R32 can be chipped + exhaust fitted at AMD and you've got 270BHP :). I've just put a deposit on a black 5 door - it arrives next Tuesday.....

a friend of mines got an audi a3 s3 and he just took out the latest bmw m3 and the r32, and bmw felt slow compared to the r32!, i suppose this has something to do with bhp/power to weight and all that, but i know which 1 id rather drive! VW

Are you sure they didnt stick him in a 325 coupe?! ;)

The M3 has 218bhp per tonne (1577kg and 343bhp) and the golf has 162bhp per tonne (1477kg and 237bhp).

I cant understand how it would have felt slower. maybe more soundproofing in the M3;D......

I love VW's but i think i'd rather have the M3  :'(
