I’m also an (impatient) old git with an iPhone - I couldn’t even see the little box in the top right to close ads before you told me it was there😳😂

Me too until I just now noticed it. It's drove me crazy for ages now on my phone. Didn't have to click top right on my tablet it just finished and disappeared. I thought it was a phone issue 🤓🥸
