Morning. I've bought a mk5 gti on nothern Irish plates (registered by a vw dealer in   enniskillen in 2005) the car came over to the UK in 2008. How easy is it to change the plate to a 55/05?
Thanks

Hi.
I purchased my last car an edition 30 from N Ireland. It was first registered in Gloucester then the guy I bought it from picked it up. When I bought it the NI plates were on and I wanted the original 57 plate as registered by VW Gloucester. I got a strict NO from wahtever the DVLA is over there.
Once plated up NI you are stuck with it.. The bonus.. It was'nt a BAZ FAZ CAZ etc etc.

Previous rides..MKIV 1.8T   MKIV PD150  MK5 GTI MK5 edition30 now MK7 GTI PP

What's the plate? If you don't mind puttin on here? If not pm me it...seems a faff but if you put it on retention, they will issue another age related plate, which maybe the original, I only ask what it is, as I might be interested for my Cabrio
