I have to agree with oryx3dr, for me personally,  I think they do sit a bit too proud.

Could you not get the spacers machined down in thickness by a local engineering firm??

Potentially, but then for what it would cost to just buy a new set and sell the old ones? Might not be worth the effort

You could just use take the spacers off, with winter approaching I definitely would regardless to save a lot of dirt flying up the car.

After 3 weeks I cracked and had to give the car a wash, it's definitely a lot easier doing it weekly. Also been getting better at using my iphone for pictures!

I also fitted another stainless steel footrest to the car & put my rubber mats back in as we move back into the wetter months. (Snowfoam on the mats before anyone comments)

Have the car booking in this week for a bit of work but I'll update when it's done.

It’s photos like yours Will that make one wonder - what the bloody hell were VW thinking when they designed the mk8??!!!

The 7.5 GTI has got to be the best looking Golf since the mk1. I used to love walking around the corner of my road and seeing my TCR sat there like that.
Ok, maybe third best after the mk1 Campaign and mk2 G60 on BBS splitties but that’s it. It’s right up there.

Nice Photo of a lovely looking car Will

Looks mega! Do you edit out the number plate on your phone too? If so how? Been wondering myself

The TCR is definitely one of the best looking Golf's especially in the lighter colours. I would very much of the same opinion regarding the Mk1's and Mk2's, I'm not certain on what I consider better looking the G60 or the Rallye with the flared arches. But I also still think the mk5 Edition 30 pips the 7.5 but I'm biased.

I do, so you go:

Photo > Edit > then hit the ... for more options > Markup > Hit the colour chooser > then select the pipette in the top left > colour match it to the number plate > then draw over your number plate text.

I'm sure there's a better way but removing the number plate and cropping is all I need, I let my polisher sort gloss

Very helpful, wish I'd known about this sooner! Thank you :)

They came from Italy via the WeatherTech Website, I'd suggest emailing them for a a price on just the front two, as mine were £120 ish 3-4 years ago for just the front.

Thanks, showing as over £200 which is a bit steep for a couple of rubber mats

I will do as you suggest and email them as I only want the fronts
